Della was born in North Brookfield, MA, the daughter of George & Carrie Jones.  Upon the very young passing of Carrie, she was lovingly cared for by her Aunt Bertha and Uncle Archie whom she lived with until her marriage to Henry Blanchette and became a Navy wife living on the Newport Naval Base.  Upon his retirement, they settled in Tiverton, RI.  She enjoyed life and family, also gardening, reading and swimming at the "Y".  Her most prized accomplishments were those of wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  She leaves 2 children Susan and Cindy, 7 grandchildren & 2 great grandchildren.  She was predeceased by 2 sons, Michael & Peter, 7 brothers & 2 sisters.  Private arrangements were with the Pocasset Memorial Funeral Home 462 Main Rd, Tiverton, RI. www.almeida-pocasset.com for on line guest book.  In lieu of flowers, her family requests you share a kind word or special visit with your own loved ones in her memory.
