Mary (Nunes) Couto, 89 of Fall River, formerly of Brayton Ave., died on Wednesday. She was the wife of Albert Couto. Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Mary (Gonsalves) and John L. Nunes.
She had attended B.M.C. Durfee High School. She had worked as a Seamstress for Granite Dress prior to her retirement. She was a lifelong member of Our Lady of Health Parish up to its closing and was currently a member of Espirito Church. She was a member of the I.L.G.W.U. and the Portuguese alliance. She was also a member of the A.P.U.M.E.C. of California.
She is survived by a godson Daniel Oliveira of Fall River and a goddaughter Patricia Davis of California.
