Mary (Barboza) Furtado 94 of Fall River died on Tuesday. She was the widow of Joseph Furtado.
Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Mary (Silvia) and John M. Barboza. Prior to her retirement, she had worked as a Machine Operator in the Garment Industry. She had been a member of the former Holy Ghost Portuguese Social Club, the former Our Lady of the Angels Parish Seniors and its Holy Rosary Sodality and Women's Guild. She is survived by a daughter Patricia Mello, 4 grandchildren and many greatgrandchildren. She also leaves her granddaughter Wendy Furtado "her caregiver". She was the mother of the late Joseph Furtado Jr. and sister of the late Emily Viera, Arthur M. and Joseph Barboza.
Visitation THURSDAY 5-8 PM. Her Funeral will be held FRIDAY at 8am from the A F ALMEIDA & SON FUNERAL HOME 1309 Globe St, Fall River with a 9am Mass at Good Shepherd Church. Burial at Notre Dame
