Mary S. (Silva) Ferreira, also known as "Connie" 97 of Fall River, Mass., died on July 24th at the Fall River Jewish Home. She was the wife of the late Mariano J.(Jerry) Ferreira. Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Marie Rose (Henrique) and Francisco R. Silva. A Seamstress, she had worked in the Garment Industry. She was a communicant of Holy Name Parish. A Lifelong member of the former Holy Ghost Portuguese Social Club, she also belonged to the Former Ponta Women's Auxillary and the former
Portuguese Veteran's Club. She is survived by a son Gerald Ferreira and his wife Donna of Tiverton, along with a daughter Joyce Rapoza of Fall River. In addition, she leaves 4 grandchildren, 6 greatgrandchildren,
nieces, nephews, greatnieces, greatnephews and a greatgreatniece. She was the sister of the late Silvina Silva, Joseph Silvia, Mary Rose Oliveira, Frank Silva and Antonio (Baron) Silva. Visitation SATURDAY 8 to 9:30 AM prior to the Funeral. Those attending the Funeral should arrive at 9am at the A F ALMEIDA & SON FUNERAL HOME 1309 Globe St, Fall River with a 10am Mass to follow at Holy Name Church. Burial at St. Patrick's Cemetery.
