Maximina (da Silva Gasper) Lima Rodgers 96 of 500 Wilbur Ave, Somerset and formerly of 16 Hughes St, Fall River passed away on Saturday. She was the wife of the late Joseph Rodgers and the late John Lima.
Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Angelina (Santos) Rodrigues and Joseph daSilva Gaspar.
She had worked as a Nurse's Aide at the former Earl Hussey Hospital. She is survived by a daughter Nancy Furtado, formerly of Somerset and a son Robert J. Lima of Portsmouth, NH. She also leaves 4 grandchildren, 6 greatgrandchildren and 5 greatgreatgrandchildren. Siblings are Valentino Gaspar, Joseph Gaspar, Adeline Travers and Mary Souza. She also leaves 2 stepdaughters Michelle Mendonca and Jeannie Howlet, a stepson Gerry Rodgers along with several nieces and nephews. Visitation WEDNESDAY 5-8PM. Her Funeral will be held THURSDAY at 8am from the A F ALMEIDA & SON FUNERAL HOME 1309 Globe St, Fall River with a 9am Mass at St Anthony of Padua Church.
