Michael Martin Poirier 61 of Tiverton, RI died on Sunday. He was the husband of Joyce Anne (Lyons) Poirier.
Born in New Bedford, Mass., he was the son of the late Maria (Tavares) and Michael A. Poirier.
He had worked as a Supervisor at Revere Copper & Brass in New Bedford. He was a communicant of Holy
Ghost Parish. He was a member of the New Bedford Rod & Gun Club, the Touisset Friday Nite Golf League,
the Westport Holiday Lanes bowling group and the retired Motorcycle Club. He was also a 3rd Degree member of the Knights of Columbus in Tiverton. In addition to his wife, he survived by his siblings James Poirier of Acushnet, Carol Almeida of New Bedford, Rosalee Bettencourt of New Bedford and Irene Thibault of Falmouth, Mass. He was predeceased by siblings William Poirier, Arlene Cabral, David Poirier and Antoinette Poirier. Flowers are welcome or donations may be made to Sarcoidosis Research Foundation
