Obituary

Nizarali R. Rajani 60, better known as David, passed away on October 25, 2023. He was the husband of Cynthia Coelho-Rajani. Born in Karachi, Pakistan, he was the son of the late Shakar (Khanoo) and Rajab Ali Rajani. He was a former employee of Harvey Industries.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Jessica Rajani and a son, Jason Rajani. He also leaves a grandson, Harrison Geada. In addition he leaves 3 sisters, Roshan Ara, Yasmeen and Nelofer; and 5 brothers, Noorallah, Akber, Ramzan, Salim, and Mansoor; was predeceased by a brother, Ahmed Ali and a sister, Noorjaan. He was also the uncle of many nieces and nephews.

David was a hardworking individual, who did his best to provide for his family and help others. He was a loving father, husband and "Papa".

In the early 1970's he and his family had to leave their war torn country and reestablish themselves in Karachi, Pakistan.

As a young adult he left his country again, in order to find employment, help the family and pave his own way. For many years he worked as a deck hand on various Greek cargo ships. This job allowed him to travel to many different parts of the world, and he was especially drawn to Greece. He had a love for the culture, specifically the food.

He would often speak of the "adventures" and fun he had growing up in East Pakistan with friends and family, and looked back fondly on the time he traveled the world after leaving his country.

In the mid 80's, he immigrated to the USA and eventually settled in Fall River, MA. Years later, he proudly became a U.S. Citizen.

He married in 1989, went on to raise a family and eventually became a grandfather who wholeheartedly enjoyed the time he spent with his grandson.

David enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, watching sports, having cookouts, taking walks along the waterfront, playing tennis, listening to music, and playing a "good" game of LCR, in which he would usually win.

Throughout his life, he was lucky enough to establish lifelong friendships and cherished the time reconnecting with them. He made many connections whether with co-workers, his children's friends, or his vast extended family, who loved him very much.

May his soul Rest In Peace now and for those that loved him. May they treasure the fond memories they have of him.

His Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 1st at 10:00am in the A F Almeida & Son Funeral Home 1309 Globe St., Fall River with a Visitation prior from 8:30am to 10:00am.  Entombment to follow service at Notre Dame Mausoleum.
