Richard P. Coute 88 of Fall River, MA., passed away on November 2, 2024.  He was the husband of Alice (Santos) Coute for 68 years.
Born in Fall River, he was the son of the late Adeline (Froias) and Frank Coute.  Richard was a Registered Nurse and had worked at Pawtucket Memorial Hospital for 38 years.  He was a communicant of Good Shepherd Parish.  A Long time member of Montaup Country Club, he was a former President and honorary member.
He served proudly in the United States Navy and Naval reserve.
In addition to his wife, he leaves 3 sons Richard P. Coute Jr. (Wife Susan), Michael P. Coute (wife Ursula), Thomas M. Coute (wife Kristine), along with 5 grandchildren Matthew Coute (Wife Danielle), Dr. Ryan Coute (wife Sarah), Sarah Colaianni (Husband Joseph), Michael  T. Coute and Thomas T. Coute.  In addition, he leaves 4 great grandchildren Jaxson Coute, Jameson Coute, Luke Colaianni and Grant Colaianni.  He also leaves a sister Genevieve Travis (Husband Ronald), along with several nieces and nephews.  He was the brother of the late Daniel Coute.
There will be no calling hours.
A funeral Mass at Good Shepherd Church, South Main Street in Fall River, MA on Nov. 18th at   10am.
The family will greet family and friends prior to mass from 9:15    am to  10  am.
