Rita (Clark) Souza 93, formerly of Snell St, Fall River died on Monday at the Catholic Memorial Home.
She was the wife of the late John Piva Souza. Born in Tiverton, RI, she was the daughter of the late
Peter Clark and Lottie (Barry) Clark Standing. She had attended Thibodeau Business School. A Homemaker, she has also worked at the Torpedo Station in Newport., at Litton Industries in Fall River and at Chance-Vought Aircraft in Conneticut. She enjoyed reading, dancing and swimming.
She was a member of Sts Peter & Paul Parish at Holy Cross Church. She is survived by a son John Alan Souza of Fall River, a grandson John A. Souza Jr. of Fall River and greatgrandsons Zackary Souza, Steven A. Souza, along with a grandaughter Tanya Gallant (husband Thomas) of Westport and greatgrandchildren Thomas Gallant Jr. and Kayla Marie Gallant. She also leaves a daughter Carolyn Frank (widow of John) of Swansea and Carolyn's son John Frank (Wife Kim) of Fall River and Carolyn's grandchildren John Matthew Frank and Madison Riley Frank. She also leaves a brother-in-law Antone Arruda of Tiverton and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings Peter A. Clark, Bertha Vieira Sisson, Lena O'Brien, Lottie Lane, Sarah Arruda, Eileen Almeida and Evelyn Carden. Visitation THURSDAY 6-8 PM.
