Romolo Del Deo's Obituary
Romolo Del Deo 99 of Tiverton, RI passed away on April 6th. He was the widower of Irene A. (Bordone) Del Deo, and father of the late Robert E. Del Deo.. Born in Providence, RI, he was the son of the late Maria (Luongo) and Silvestro Del Deo. He was a Teacher in Tiverton for many years and he was also a Principal at Tiverton High School. In addition he was a Vice principal in Providence. He served as a State representative in the mid to late 70's for Tiverton, Portsmouth and Little Compton. A Mason, he was also a Medic for the US Army serving during WWII as a Sergeant. He is survived by his sons Stephen J. Del Deo and his wife Joanne of Loudon. NH and his son John R. Del Deo and his wife Julie of Richmond, RI, and his daughter-in-law Suzanne Del Deo of Tiverton along with 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Visitation Wednesday from 4 to 7 PM. His memorial service will be held Thursday at 10am in the Pocasset Memorial Funeral Home 462 Main Rd, Tiverton, RI. Burial at Newport Memorial Park, Middletown, RI, with Military honors.
