Russell J. Wilcox, 79, of Tiverton, died peacefully on September 27, 2026 at St. Anne's Hospital.  He was the loving husband of Joan I. (Carreiro) Wilcox.  Born in Fall River, he was a son of the late Walter P. Wilcox, Jr. and Dorothy A. (Brown) Wilcox.

Mr. Wilcox was a Banker with Bank 5 of Fall River for many years until his retirement.  He was a Communicant of Holy Ghost Church in Tiverton.  Russell was an avid golfer and member of the Montaup Country Club.  He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Era

In addition to his wife, he leaves his loving son, Brian J. Wilcox of Bristol and his cherished granddaughter, Maisie C. Wilcox of Bristol.  He was the brother of Walter P. Wilcox, III & his wife Bettie Ann of Mount Laurel, NJ, David A. Wilcox I& his wife Cheryl of Hudson, NH, Catherine A. Carino & her husband Matthew of Abington, MA, and Dr. Robert M. Wilcox & his wife Teresa Riley-Wilcox of Swansea.  He also leaves many nieces & nephews.

His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, November 11, 2026 at 11:00 AM in Holy Ghost Church, 316 Judson Street, Tiverton, RI.  Burial with Military Honors will follow in Pocasset Hill Cemetery.
