Ruth Smith 71 of Fall River, died on Thursday, January 10, 2013. She was the wife of Theodore P. Smith Jr.
Born in Fall River, MA, she was the daughter of the late Delia (Souza) and Benjamin Mello.
A Homemaker for most of her lifetime, she had also worked at Louis Hand and Shelburne Shirt Company.
She was a member of Good Shepherd Parish. In addition to her husband, she leaves her children
Michael Smith, Lisa Smith, Steven Smith and Karen Smith. She is also survived by her grandchildren Christopher Smith, Alyssa Costa, Katelyn Costa and was expecting another grandson. She was the sister of the late James Mello and Ronald Mello. Visitation MONDAY 5-8 PM. Her Funeral will be held TUESDAY at 9am from the A F ALMEIDA & SON FUNERAL HOME 1309 Globe St, Fall River with a 10am Mass at Good Shepherd Church.
