Teofilo M. Raposo 94 of New Bedford, MA, passed away on January 11th.  He was the husband of Maria doCarmo (Morgado) Raposo.  Born in Povoacao, Sao Miguel, Azores, he was the son of the late Cecilia and Manuel Neto Raposo.  He had formerly worked as a machine operator for Columbia electronics.  He was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish.
In addition to his wife, he leaves 3 daughters Connie Medeiros (Husband Gilberto)' Mary Jo Freitas (Husband Jose) and Ana DeSousa (Husband Gilbert).  He also leaves his grandsons Matthew (Wife Cassie) and Brendan Medeiros, & Austin and Logan DeSousa.  Greatgrandchildren are Croi and Reif Medeiros, along with Coral Medeiros & nieces and nephews.  He also leaves a brother Augusto Raposo and a sister Margarida Nascimento (Husband Fred).  He was the brother of the late Maria Natividade Cordeiro and Teresa Cordeiro.  Arrangements are with the A F Almeida & Son Funeral Home of Fall River but Services will be held in New Bedford.
Visitation will be held from 9 to 11am prior to the Funeral at Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St., New Bedford. followed by  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on  Wednesday, January 17th at Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church in New Bedford, 230 Bonney St., New Bedford. at 11:30 am      Burial at Rural Cemetery 149 Dartmouth St., New Bedford..  http://www.almeida-pocasset.com for on line guest book.
