Theresa J. (Niedbala) Lachapelle 75 of Tiverton, RI passed away on Wednesday,  January 4, 2023.  She was the beloved wife of Robert Lachapelle for 52 wonderful years.  Born in Fall River, MA, she was the daughter of the late Irene (Letendre) and Theodore Niedbala. For 28 total years,  she was a Cafeteria Worker for Tiverton, Newport and Middletown public schools.  She also worked at the University of RI for several years, prior to her retirement. Theresa was a communicant of St. Christopher's Parish. In addition to her husband, she leaves a son Robert Lachapelle Jr. (Lindsey) and a daughter Janet Cunha (Jerry).  Grandchildren are Jordan Cunha (Megan), Joshua Cunha, Jared Lachapelle, along with Hailey, Amya and Nolan.  Great grandchildren are Mason, Haven, Aubree and Kashten.  She also leaves her siblings, Jean Martin and Theodore Niedbala.  She leaves behind several nieces and nephews.  Theresa's greatest love was spending time with her family.  She enjoyed yearly trips to Florida to admire beaches, sunsets and most importantly, her palm trees.  Theresa's hobbies included karaoke, singing, dancing, puzzles, shopping, and swimming.  The last few years her hobbies changed to playing canasta, watching football and wrestling, and spending quality time with her friends and family.  Theresa blessed this world with an abundance of love and compassion for 75 years, a true St. Theresa.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 8th from 4 to 7 PM.  Her Funeral will be held on Monday, January 9th at 9am at the Pocasset Memorial Funeral Home, 462 Main Rd, Tiverton with a Mass at 10am at St. Christopher's Church on Main Rd., Tiverton.
