Thomas E. Rogers 89 of Tiverton, RI died on Jan. 16, 2013. He was the husband of Helen (Krawetz) Rogers. Born in New Bedford, MA. he was the son of the late Ellen (Meehan) and Thomas H. Rogers.
He was educated in the New Bedford School System and had served in the US Army Air Force during WWII.
Prior to his retirement, he had worked as a Construction Supervisor for the New England Telephone Co.
for over 40 years. He was a lifetime member of the Telephone Pioneers and the Knights of Columbus, Fr. Boehr Council. He also belonged to the Montaup Country Club and enjoyed playing Cribbage with the Swansea Seniors and Knights of Columbus. He was a communicant of Holy Ghost Parish. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children Thomas M. Rogers (Wife Sharon), Stephen P. Rogers (Wife Elaine), Patricia Ouellette (Husband Chuck), Daniel P. Rogers (Wife Donna) and Kathryn Nichols (Husband John). He also leaves 13 grandchildren, 8 greatgrandchildren, a sister Mary Margaret James and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late John Rogers. Visitation FRIDAY 4-7 PM. His Funeral will be held SATURDAY at 9am from the POCASSET MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME 462 Main Rd, Tiverton with a 10am Mass at Holy Ghost Church.
