Obituary

Travis Oneal Jaye 92 of Tiverton, RI passed away on December 25 th . He was the husband of the late Olivia (Chaves) Jaye whom he was married to for 44 years. Born in Stockton, Alabama he was the son of the late Nancy Ann (Morris) and Amos Jaye. He was a very proud career Navy veteran who served his country all over the world. As an avid Boston sports fan, he especially loved yelling "SCORE" when the Bruins found the goal net.  Although never educated as an engineer, he had a mechanical knack at repairing the seemingly unfixable, to the extent it was dubbed as "Jaye rigged." Travis is predeceased by his daughter Pauline Greenough, brothers Vondee Jaye and James Edward Jaye and his grandson Shane Brooks.  He leaves a son Wayne Jaye (Shirley) and 2 daughters, Vivian Cote and Geraldine "Geri" Brooks (Wilfred "Joe"). He is also survived by his grandchildren David Pereira, Brian Pereira, Kelly Pereira, Robert Cote, Jaye Brooks, Jessica Moon, Amy Darling and Erika Howard. As well as his siblings, a sister Alberta Hendrickson, brother Kenneth Jaye (wife Doris), a sister Myra Saucer and many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. His wishes are for donations to be made in his name to Community Nurse Home Care.  Private services are with the Pocasset Memorial Funeral Home, 462 Main Road, Tiverton RI. www.almeida-pocasset.com for more info and on-line guestbook.
