Obituary

Valdemar O. Monteiro, also know as "Val" 46 of Fall River, MA passed away on December 5, 2021.  Born in Fall River, he was the son of Ilda M. (Medeiros) Monteiro and Joseph O. Monteiro.

Valdemar was a Graduate of U Mass. Dartmouth in 1999 and received a Bachelor's in Textile Manufacturing.  He had worked as a Claims Reviewer for Benefit Concepts.  He was a communicant of Good Shepherd Parish where he taught CCD and was active with the youth group and retreats.  He attended many EMMAUS retreats,

He loved baseball and was lifelong Boston Red Sox Fan and also enjoyed football.  In addition to his parents. he leaves a sister Lisa Monteiro and her significant other Jaime Adaes.  He also leaves his godchildren Analyse and Austin, along with Zachary.  In addition he also leaves Jaime's son Jacob Adaes along with several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Monday. Dec. 13th from 4 to 8pm at the A F Almeida & Son Funeral Home 1309 Globe St., Fall River, MA.  His Funeral will be held Tuesday Dec. 14th at 9 am from the Funeral Home with a Mass at Good Shepherd Church at 10am.  Burial at Notre Dame Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Assoc.
