Walter Douglas Papineau 74 of Tiverton died on Monday. He was the husband of Barbara Anne (Mello)
Papineau. Born in Long Beach, CA, he was the son of the late Walter D. Olsen and Irene (Reed) Papineau.
He was the adopted son of the late Albert M. Papineau. Prior to his retirement, he had worked as a Supervisor at General Cable in Franklin, MA. He loved working in the Greenhouse at Papineau's Florist.
He had served in the US Army during the Vietnam Era. Walter was a member of the Holy Ghost Club in Westport. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children William Papineau and Kevin Papineau. He also leaves his stepchildren Robert Cory, Miles Cory, Melissa Carnivale and Donna Medeiros. He also leaves many grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. His siblings are Albert Papineau, George Papineau, Marion Catanzaro, Barbara O'Donnell, Regina Lapointe, Judy Papineau and the late Irene Clark.
He enjoyed sitting in his chair and petting his (Cat) "Pussy". Visitation WEDNESDAY 6-8 PM
at the POCASSET MEMORIAL FUERAL HOME 462 Main Rd, Tiverton, RI with a Service at 7:30PM.
