Zita Martins, 51,beloved mother, grandmother, sister, partner and friend passed away surrounded by family on December. 2nd, 2017. Zita was born in Sao Miguel, Azores,and raised by her family in Fall River, MA. She was the daughter of Maria F. Martins and the late Luis A. Martins. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her daughters Shannon DeSouza (husband Emerson DeSouza) and Cassandra Camara (fiance Walter Butler), along with her grandson Enzo DeSouza. She also leaves behind her partner Alfred Smith, her siblings Maria Adriana Maciel (husband Antonio V. Maciel), Nicolino Martins (wife Fatima Martins, nephew Chad Martins, niece Roxanne Maciel, and many loved family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday December 6, 2017 from 9 to 11am at the A F Almeida & Son Funeral Home 1309 Globe St., Fall River with a Service to follow at 11am in the Funeral Home. Burial and committal prayers to follow at Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River, MA. Flowers are welcome at the Funeral Home.
